Lisa Benton and Janet Schmidt Promoted at Windsor Federal Bank

Windsor Federal Bank is pleased to share the promotions of its valued team members and congratulates Lisa Benton and Janet Schmidt! Lisa Benton has been promoted to AVP, Assistant Controller. Lisa began her career at Windsor Federal Bank in 1998 as a Bookkeeper with prior banking experience as a Teller, Teller Manager, Customer Service Representative, and Portfolio Manager. A graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University, Lisa holds a B.A. degree in English. Since 1998, she has held positions with the Bank such as Senior Bookkeeper, Staff Accountant, Accounting Manager, and most recently, Officer, Assistant Controller. In her 25 years with Windsor Federal she has been a valuable member of the team who always goes above and beyond to help all areas of the bank. With her promotion, Lisa will be receiving updated responsibilities, realigned to meet the evolving needs of the Accounting Department. Janet Schmidt has been promoted to AVP, Loan Servicing Officer. Janet has a total of 30 years banking experience, which includes positions at other institutions in Deposit Operations, Audit, and Loan Servicing. She started her career with Windsor Federal Bank in 2013 in the Loan Servicing Department and has held positions such as Loan Servicing Specialist, Loan Servicing Supervisor, and most recently, Loan Servicing Officer. A graduate of the University of Connecticut, Janet holds a B.A. degree in Human Relations. In 2019, she also graduated from the CBA Connecticut School of Finance & Management (CSFM), gaining more knowledge of her own specialties and of a wide range of banking topics. Due to her outstanding performance, she received the Michael J. Piette Honors Award for finishing in the top 10% of her graduating class. Janet is a wealth of knowledge and a key player in creating several department processes. With her promotion, she will continue to act as the go-to person for department questions and serve as the key resource/decision-maker for the core system while also taking on additional responsibilities.
