Windsor Federal Advocates for America’s Banks and Consumers on Capitol Hill

Windsor Federal Bank was well represented at the ABA Summit in Washington, D.C. in March. Luke Kettles, President & CEO, Mike Moriarty, Chief Lending Officer, George Hermann, Executive Chairman, and Susan Kiddy, AVP-Corporate Communications Officer, joined fellow bankers from across the nation in advocating for America’s Banks. The Summit programming included the Mutual Community Bank Forum, Women and Allies Forum, and Emerging Leaders Forum. Of note, Mr. Hermann served as moderator of a Regulatory Roundtable and Ms. Kiddy participated in the ABA Emerging Leaders Council meeting among fellow representatives from each state. They joined forces with the Connecticut Bankers Association (CBA) and fellow bankers from Thomaston Savings Bank and Newtown Savings Bank in advocating for America’s Banks on Capitol Hill. There, they met with legislators and their staff members to voice concerns over the regulatory tsunami that would impact how we do business and key policy issues that would impact our customers, like the ACRE Act, CRA modernization, Credit Union competition, and the Credit Card Competition Act. Serving our customers extends beyond our communities and it is an honor and a privilege to represent our customers and community members at the national level.
