Windsor Federal Named 2024 Windsor Food & Fuel Bank Volunteer & Support Awards Honoree

On 11/18/24, Windsor Federal Bank was one of the honorees at the Windsor Food and Fuel Bank 2024 Volunteer and Support Awards. Three extraordinary partners were honored for their dedication, time, and effort:
  • Individual: Windsor resident Marjory Berky
  • Organization: Team Paragon Robotics Inc
  • Business: Windsor Federal Bank
In speaking at the awards ceremony, Joanna Gould, Food & Fuel Bank President, said, “Windsor Federal Bank has shown outstanding dedication to supporting our community and our mission at the Windsor Food and Fuel Bank through a number of impactful initiatives. Twice each year, Windsor Federal Bank holds its Community Shred Day event, fully staffed by their employees. This event not only provides the community with free shredding for their sensitive documents, but it also encourages participants to bring non-perishable food donations. Each Shred Day generates between 5,000 and 7,000 pounds of food and approximately $1,000 in monetary donations. The impact of these donations cannot be overstated, and they go directly to help local families in need.

Beyond Shred Day, Windsor Federal Bank is a proud sponsor of the 5k race benefitting our Weekend Wheels program. This event has brought critical support to our work feeding local children, and it’s heartening to see their employees not only sponsor but also participate in the race, demonstrating the bank’s commitment on a personal level. Windsor Federal Bank has also embraced food pantry donations as a core focus across all the communities they serve, bringing their Matching Gifts Program to life. This program encourages employees and directors to contribute, with each dollar matched by the bank. Thanks to Windsor Federal Bank’s spirit of community and generosity, these donations have had a direct and lasting impact on the Windsor Food Bank.

The ongoing support from Windsor Federal Bank has had a significant impact on our operations and has truly strengthened our ability to serve. The dedication, generosity, and the active involvement of its leadership and employees are invaluable to us. For all of this, it’s my great privilege to present Windsor Federal Bank with this year’s Business Recognition Award. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to our community, and congratulations.”

Luke Kettles, Windsor Federal Bank’s President & CEO, accepted the award on behalf of Windsor Federal Bank.
